Before I go crazy and buy this will I have any problems encasing silver glass?

I am almost out of clear (and prefer stringers)!

thanks LE'rs

PS I know that diamond clear is great, but I can't afford it right now :(

I have used CIM clear over Terra and it cracked. Not all but about 1/3 to 1/2 of the beads cracked. I also tried Moretti clear over Picasso, and several of them cracked. Sigh!! Pale blue Moretti was fine. Can you try a really pale shade of Moretti???

Jaci - I know I had some cracking issues with CIM Unique Clear and think there also were some with the regular one too but really didn't make enough test beads to say for sure. Kathy from CIM did email some of us after a thread on that matter and told us that they were going to start testing the Clear with Double Helix (they had tested on Precision). Perhaps you can pm her directly and find out? Her LE name is Kathy.

And keep us posted please! ;-)

I've used the Reformulated Lauscha on all of the Precision 104 colors and most of the Trautman 104 colors without cracking. That is on a sold base of color. Not Moretti then silver then Lasucha. No cracks. That's as far as I got with testing here. Paula
