Hello, I am new to this world of Lampwork. I have taken an 8 hour class and want to continue. I do not have any thing except books. I feel like I have a handle on the venting question for my home and need advice on other tools like a torch, Kiln and oxygen concentrator. I have spent hours reading posts and have a headache trying to figure out what things to buy. I plan to make beads and do not know if I will do anything else. The Bobcat torch has been suggested. My question about Tucson this February. Can I buy things like oxygen concentrators and kilns? Are the prices better ? Any help would greatly help my headache go away! Thanks so much Rita in AZ

You might see if Arrow Springs or other lampwork supply vendors will be there. I bought all of my equipment from Arrow Springs via mail without seeing it first, I was very pleased with my stuff and their help over the phone.

Arrow Springs and Frantz Art Glass both have booths in Tucson. The prices are the same at their catalog prices but they sometimes have things there that arent in the catalogs. Special glass colors to be exact.

With either vendor, you can call them on the phone and speak with very knowledgable staff who can answer any and all of your questions. I like to stick to one supplier and use Arrow Springs (unless they are out of glass colors I need  ) So that is my recommendation.

I have never seen anyone selling consentrators there. As a note, at Tucson they are both very very busy and you might actually get more customer service to call them and discuss your needs.
