View Full Interactive Version Of This Page : What glass comes closest to a sage green dress?

I've just met with a bride to be and she said the dresses would be sage green. The flowers will be gerbera daisies in red, orange, and salmon.
She doesn't necessarily want floral beads. More of a dropped focal of some sort. (Do we have an 'eek' smilie?)
Any suggestions for glass colors to try samples with? Her mother thinks just the green, the bride wasn't sure.

I'd try avacado green. Try and get a fabric sample!

northstar avacado has been discontinued... it looks like babypoop green too... and it had compatability issues

Sage green is not really a green at all. It's more of a taupe color. Maybe if you encased it in pale emerald.

Moretti does have a dark sage transparent that is pretty "sagey" (is that a word?).
Offering my "sage" advice...

It's really dark. You would have to see what the exact sage the bride is thinking. I think of sage green as the color of sage which is a mid toned grey green.

It probably depends on the lot. I just took some of mine into my bathroom and it matches pretty well. (sage accessories, heh)

Yup. Fabric sample. Smart, smart, smart.
No worrying if you have the right thing that way! Good luck with the order.

It turns more.. taupey when you use it though.
I made a set to match a freinds dress for her revows ( a sage dress of course) I used pale emerald over pearl grey and the match was pretty good. not perfect as the pale emerald was a bit to pale for her darker sage color. may be perfect for you. go a head and give it a sample try and check it against your fabric swatch. ;)

I have some and it looks pretty nice except I haven't tried it yet.

An odd lot sage? Moretti? Hmmm, I'll go wander around and see what I can find. Of course I have no clue what her eye sees as 'Sage'. I'm not even sure if the dresses are ordered or if she thinks she'll get this color. (But another color of glass in the stash can't be all bad.)
I'm not sure how excited the bride is about this. They are doing a bracelet for Christmas for someone else first.
hmm, maybe go with orange salmon theme and use ochre (the olive version) sparingly to give it a sage touch.
