I don't know how I end up getting the cutesy bead people. My best client wants snowflakes and chickens. Any ideas out there??
She also wants strawberries, peaches, butterflies, glass slipper and anything whimsical. My brain hurts already.

LMAO!!! When I clicked on the link, I thought it said "Chickens and CORNflakes"!!!
Okay, chicken. Off of the top of my head, you could make a lentil and give it a beak on the rim so that it would lay like a flat fish. Add a comb on top of his little head and some wings on the side. Last, a tail on the back.
I have made exactly 2 fish in the 4 years that I have been making beads. Sculptural isn't my thing, but this seems kinda easy and would lay nicely on the wrist. And you could use the Zoozii egg press to make it's eggs!
Snowflakes: You can use a punch in the shape of a snowflake. Punch silver leaf (not foil, too thick and will ball up) and put on top of a bead. Try to find a punch that doesn't have a lot of long parts hanging out away from the center. The leaf likes to curl up onto itself before you can get it to the bead. Easy way out and it's pretty.
If you can make a glass slipper, I'll buy one. LOL

Geeze, and I only ask for sushi!
Check under tutorials sections, there is a great star/snowflake in there. Check out Corina's book or spotlight and don't forget about all the great books by Cindy Jenkins! Good luck!

Thanks for the tips, I've been looking around and waiting for something to hit me in the head and so far I got nothing. Something unique, something I can put my own spin onto.
I'll have to dig out my bead books. I own every Cindy Jenkins book. I feel like crap today, so it will be a good day to research.

I make neat chickens with any color I like for the body, maybe adding some frit, then tapering the bead a little. Firefly Lampwork, Janet Crosby makes the body like a heart. I just make a tapered body, add tail feathers in a little arc on one end, usually the higher side of the wide part of the bead, then I add a little glass for the head, use trans. red to make the cockscomb and the little side parts, orange or yellow for a beak, then white with black for the eyes. They usually turn out with a little attitude, especially if the head part is turned a little, and maybe bent down a little. chickens are very invested in the ground. I am going to try to send you a picture. Good luck! xiola
Or you could do a chicken like this.
