I saw some glass beads on ebay that were called chrome. I haven't used much metallic glass. Bring me up to date on how this glass looks like chrome. What type of glass is this?

Hi Mary
Maybe that's my beads you saw. I listed a set tonight called Chrome.
I used cooper green base and some ''Mercury Lustre'' frit. I reduced it and Voila!!
Pretty easy in fact!

Oh! And the fine frit on the spacers is ''Golden Brown'' frit size #00.

Yep, your are the one! they are gorgeous!! Thanks for the tips. I have not had much luck with the metallics. And I have not seen the silver turn out so well as yours. Kudos to you!

To get nice metallic effect, I open up the propane a bit just to get a nice yellow flame and I go back and forth in the flame. This is the best way for me.

Chrome in its reduced state is a bane to boro workers that causes cracking. It is found in many greens and cotributes to their incompatibilty issues. Just a side note if you ever want to work with boro.
