Help, I hurt my baby (Hellcat, that is)

I finally managed to get glass in one of the outer burner ports. Does anyone know how to get it out short of ending it to Carlisle? I don't have a back up and have several shows coming up.

I have read to run the torch and get the glass that is in the port hot, turn the torch off and dip the face of the torch in water. This will shock the glass and it should break into pieces and fall out. Repeat as needed.
