Chem-o-lene + oxygen necessary?

now that I have found a source for chem-o-lene it occured to me whether or not I will have to use oxygen with it.
does anyone have any idea???

Hot head runs on fuel only . Mapp gas (brazing fuel) or equivalent. No oxygen tanks or O2 concentrator needed.

Chem-o-lene is basically a additive for propane. IF you are using a fuel/air torch (Hohhead/fireworks) there is no need for oxygen as torch pulls in room air to support combustion process. IF you are using a fuel/oxygen torch there is no need for chem-o-lene as the fuel /oxygen torch is so much hotter than the fuel/air torch.

I'm not sure this is a big thing, but most of the people I talk with at these welding supply houses haven't a clue about these queations. I know they aren't lampworkers, but to me some of the things (questions) seem pretty basic to me. Oh well, thank the powers that be we all have this forum.

Well in welding industry most applications use acetylene as a fuel source because the fact that it is a dirty fuel is not a issue and its cheap and does job.... Any professional company using speciality gases usually have people trained in gas use and do not rely on gas suppliers for technical assistance. And welding/cutting torches usually are premix torches and have burning/heating characteristic different form torches used for glass.... The only "connection" is that a lot of items (regulators, hoses, fuel, oxygen) actually came from welding industry. Not to many welding shops have even meet or know their customer may be a glass worker.
