I would vote for the Lynx. . . although I have used either extensively. The Lynx will give you a smaller flame for detail work as well. My friend's Little Dragon 21 tends to get loads of carbon buildup.

I'm not sure what the difference is only that I was told that
there isn't any parts to replace on the little dragon latter on.
I decided on the little dragon myself. It's on back order so I'm still waiting.
Although I can't compare it to a lynx I will post my comparison
with it and my minor burner. I hope someone else will have
an answer for you and good luck with your choice.

The Little Dragon 21 is a much larger torch. The torch face is larger, and it has 21 gas ports.

The Lynx is a much smaller torch, with only 7 gas ports. But, the Lynx has the GTT triple mix feature.

In my opinion, both great torches, but they are completely different.

I have both of these. The Lynx has a narrow flame that can be made needle small for real detail work. The Little Dragon is a much wider flame, a lot of ambient heat. Good for larger beads. And the price is good for this size torch.

I did get frequent carbon buildup on the face of the Little Dragon and had to brush off the face at least once during each session. I thought it might have been bad propane or something, but if someone else has this issue, maybe it's a characteristic of this torch.

One huge difference is the fuel consumption rate between the two. Really think about what you want to do with the torch. The little dragon uses 10X the Ox and almost 20X the propane as the Lynx, and the Lynx may have a better heat base. Lots of bottled Ox vs a larger concentrator is the issue. Search for Kbinkster's "Torch consumption rates " posting .

To be fair, Kevin, I think that the consumption rate for the Knight torches is what I call the "pass-through" rate - how much oxygen can be passed through the torch, not how much is consumed when running the largest usable neutral flame. But, still, since the Knight torch has 21 jets, and is a standard mix, it will (and should) consume much more than a 7 jet Lynx.

I think you will be pleased. If you have any questions about running it or want any tips, don't hesitate to ask. You can PM/call me or call Wally at 610-838-2446.
