I'm patiently awaiting the call from GTT that my Mirage is ready to ship. In the meantime, I am re-building the torch area in my studio. I've read several posts from folks that added additional depth to their working area when they got their Mirage (or similar larger torch).

The current worksurface depth is 3.5 feet with a cement board back, but would rather ask folks here about their experience or recommendation before building it out. Opinions, 3.5 enough? out to 4 feet? I have the space to do it, just don't want to build out empty space if I don't need to. Thanks!

WOOHOO!
Congrats on getting a Mirage!!
I have my Mirage facing a window. It is exactly 24" from the tip of the torch head to the window glass. Probably not the most ideal situation, but my studio is small. It has been fine so far(been on it for a little over 2 years).

Thanks for the feedback -- I feel better keeping it at 3.5!
