Does anyone have a good source for copper paint for electroforming? I've found one company, but the jar is huge and I don't need that much.
Thanks
Toni (hey, that was my Mom's nickname when she was growing up!!) - - - The only company that I know of is Safer Solutions (http://www.safer-solutions.com/), but that's probably the one you are complaining about with the too-big jar. Right? Perhaps if you contact them, they may be able to give you the names of re-sellers who sell their conductive paint in smaller jars.

Try www.caswellplating.com
I believe they have it.

Jan, you're right about Safer Solutions. Huge jar that would probably last longer than I will.
I'll also check out the Caswell Plating link.
Thanks to both of you.
Just want to mention that the Safer Solutions paint works the best of all that I've tried.

Thanks Tink!
The conductive paint has been a stickler for a lot of folks, myself included. First of all, it isn't cheap. Especially for the good stuff. And it's worth it, in my experience, to work with the better product.
Secondly, it comes in a container that's so huge (relatively speaking) that most folks who work on a flameworking scale wouldn't use it all in a lifetime.
Finally, it "expires". Goes bad. So even if you spring for the large container, you wouldn't be able to use it all before it went bad.
We're getting ready to start offering eforming kits again on the website, and we've been considering offering small containers of the paint for purchase separately. I get more emails about the paint than any other aspect of the eforming process.
Another option, of course, is to go together with a group and buy a container and divvy it up yourselves. Make sure you get containers for it that are meant to hold liquids, which will extend the life of the paint.
Have fun!
Tink, please let us know if you decide to sell the paint separately.
Thanks!
