I finally got my oxy and propane tanks (for my new minor torch), I have a gage regulator for the oxygen but I only have a pancake regulator for the propane. I've been told that this is fine to start with but I wanted some input. Also I know pretty much nothing when it comes to adjusting the flame to what it's supposed to be and it didn't come with instructions so....
If anyone can be of service I would greatly appreciate it.
Thanks in advance.

If that's all you got, go for it........
Pancakes put out 1/4 to 1/2 psi pressure. Pretty much same pressure as residential natural gas..... Lots of people use natural gas at these pressures.
I used one on a National 8M with SM7 tip and it worked ok.... Not hottest flame but definitely capable on melting soft glass....

As for adjusting flame, try to get it similar to this.....
