dense/heavy rod?!?

I am a newbie and have received some unlabeled rods from an Ebay seller who decided to hang up her torch (unthinkable to many of you I'm certain).
In this box is one particular rod (a matte black color) that, though it is the same diameter and length of many of the others has a considerable weight to it - feels almost 3x heavier. I have not yet encountered such an animal and am hoping you good people might have an answer as to what this mystery (gem?) is?

Regards....and thanks in advance,
V

Strange question from me - Are you sure it's not a graphite rod?

Lisi 2013-05-13 12:06am

can you take a picture of it?

Leaded Satake? Pretty sure leaded glass would be heavier.

I don't know if Effetre Intense Black is is actually heavier because it is a very dense color, or if any lots have ever had a matte finish.

Dark silver plum maybe??? It looks like it has a slight black matte finish.
