new studio space in coastal Georgia

previously in a basement space, now in the bonus space over a garage.
The slant of the ceilings for my barley box is the question.
Should it follow the roof line or be a true box shape?
I have a 10 in, 680 cfm exhaust fan with exterior shutters going in behind the desk on the wall.

The bluebird kiln has fire brick under and against the wall behind it. Enough? The electrician will install a dedicated 20 amp outlet for it as well.

And YES, the propane will go outside below...working out the logistics of that now.

Thanks to everyone for so much knowledge here.

(also in room are three windows at floor level and a window ac unit at standard height and my mosaic studio on the other side of the room.)

This is a house that had a little propane leak, it is a good idea to get that out of there.

I'm not even using the torch at all. It isn't hooked up and has been checked with leak detector as it just sits there. Ordered a 25 foot line for it today :)

The crock pot contains annealing bubbles. I'll probably batch anneal during the summer months in my
second floor studio space (coastal Georgia heat)

A brand new Paragon bluebird kiln went wild the first firing and has been sent back after a TcL or relay issue.
Waiting on that to be replaced. The folks at Clay-King have been great about it all.
propane outside, vent is a 680 cfm from global indistries.
I had a cord added by a licensed electrician to the vent fan and a dedicated circuit put in for the kiln.
The o2 is by the table and behind a 1/2" in plexi wall.

Your Mosaic pieces are wonderful and you capture the moment so well.
Delightful art work.

Thank you!
I have always been into puzzles. Mosaic work is very much like
putting together a massive puzzle.
You just have to cut your own pieces :)

Shield... the best buy so far

Cant say enough good things about this.
No more wearing two pairs of glasses :)

I left the included metal base off of it
and pipe clamped it to the underside of the table.
Works well for me to have it out of the way there.

(Thanks Shirts! I'm having a blast!)

Sheild

Is that a Phillips and what Ace is that 2 or 5? I've been looking at them for the same reason. One pair of glasses is enough.

More favorite things for the lampworking studio.

Found 4 different sized bead reamers, a frit scoop (seed bead scoop)
and a wire wrapping mandrel all at a local bead store in Savannah.
Love the frit scoop for touching up those small areas on the sides
of a bead that the frit rolling missed.

The magnetic tray holding the doming block works great for stabilizing everything as I tend to knock things over a lot! Found those at
northern tool in the tool chest aisle. A round one holds my collection of shorts that I use with the Hold Me Tight rod holder often.

My mandrels are in floral foam that is covered with glass chips from mosaic work. Just because the foam is ugly :)

Loving my space!!
