Koi Fish stuck on rod Help?

Here's my first Koi fish I love him but as you look at the pictures you can set just a dark spot where his tail is turned. I think the bead realease broke as I was trying to turn the tail. Looks like bare rod... :-(
Any, any thing I can do to get it off the rod? Or am I sunk.

Thank you for any help you can give me!

Sometimes putting it in the freezer can make the metal rod contract more than the glass.

If saving the fish for you is the goal, I may bend the mandrel a few inches away from the fish, and make him a swimmy plant decoration.

It is always a beautiful one that gets stuck. He is very cute.

I think the hook is stuck. :p Just add a rod and you'll have a cute chatchki! or however that's spelled.

Did you use the freezer technique? How long did you leave it in there?

He is so pretty...what'd you do?

She did put it in the freezer, not sure how long in this case.

I usually put them in the freezer for 30-60 min. That is, unless I forget what I was doing, in which case it is in there until the next time I need a fruit pop ;)

I don't go in my freezer much so sometimes I'll find a poor frozen month old bead but they're always OK and they come right off. I love the freezer trick.

I am glad I am not the only one who can forget that I was trying to save that bead ;) At least that has far less perils than putting a soda in the freezer for a quick cool. That one is always messy, lol!
