Any interest in a tutorial from me?

Hi everyone,

I've really enjoyed the tutorials I've bought and have been thinking about producing one of my own. Would there be any interest in this? And if so, are there any particular beads or techniques of mine that you would like to learn? I have a few different ideas bouncing around, but I wanted to know if there's anything you'd be especially interested in, before I settled on a topic. I appreciate any thoughts you can share!

Anything you care to tut on dear.

playswithfire104 2009-11-18 11:23am

Kim are you kidding!?! Yes. Yes. And yes!!!!! Your magic with silver glass and raku and your barrels would send me right over the edge!!! I actually have pictures of a few of your sets posted by my workspace for inspiration! I want to be you when I grow up!

Ditto what they-all said...

MerryFool 2009-11-18 12:57pm

Hey Kim,
I scurried right over to your website to see which of your beads I would love a tut on, and here's my input:

Belize Amulet Focal
Aruba Amulet Focal (ok, I guess I really like your "Amulet" designs!)
Tea Roses (glorious!)
Essential Terra (how the heck do you get those gorgeous colours?!?)

So yeah, I'd say, you could do any number of tutorial subjects and it would be welcomed by the Lampworking community! lol

LisaF 2009-11-18 1:03pm

Hurry up!!!! I can hardly wait!

Lea Zinke 2009-11-18 1:08pm

Wow, Kim, I just went over to your site and you must be the QUEEN OF SETS! From someone who is determinedly creatively ADD, I have a newfound admiration for anyone who can commit to sets as beautifully as you have!!! Wowsers...amazing work! Colors and range are wonderful.

This is looking unanimous, girl!

Best,
Lea

MaryBeth 2009-11-18 1:22pm

YES!!! On anything except working with Terra. It's not available anymore and I sold all of mine.

PaulaP 2009-11-18 1:25pm

Ditto....to all above You have wonderful sets and a eye for color.

gemsinbloom 2009-11-18 1:27pm

Umm let me think about it for a moment......

HELL YA, DO IT NOW!

suzanne 2009-11-18 3:04pm

I love your beads, your way of writing and your photography so yes, even if you decide to do a tutorial about a turd on a stick I'd probably buy it ;)
I'd love a tutorial on your lava tots, the colors are glorious!

Troll Lover 2009-11-18 3:17pm

Just looked at your website (OMG, beadporn!) and LOVE the Amulet style beads, a tut including how you do the silver work would be awesome!

And Suzanne, I could have known that those lava tots would be PINK, haha :D!

yellowbird 2009-11-18 3:19pm

Yes Terra please

ROC 2009-11-18 3:20pm

Duh, YES! You might have to pick since all your work is spectacular. I'd sure love a little help with implosions, and your implosion focals are AMAZING.

Donna T. 2009-11-18 3:37pm

wellll, I guess so...... YES!!!!!!!!!

Jane P 2009-11-18 6:03pm

Would love anything, as long as it's not based on Terra as it's no longer available.
I love all your beads, but in particular:
Vapor
Silver Tide
River song

IF-Designs 2009-11-18 6:16pm

as for suggestions
Ether #3 love those
Spheres

playswithfire104 2009-11-18 7:24pm

My favorites from the site are all Terra beads. I do have some and can't do anything with it.

Dreamscapes Studio 2009-11-18 7:50pm

Well ... since you asked ... I have some of the original Terra that has been waiting for me to figure out how to use it ... don't want to waste it, so I've been waiting for the day I can make it "sing".

Since we're at it ... I LOVE your ETHER set ... so would love to know the secret.

Thanks for asking ... so nice that you would offer up your knowledge.

Torched Art 2009-11-18 7:58pm

Yes, Hah! You had to ask????!!!!

Anything will do. Your writhing is just as beautiful as your beads.

So shall we expect something next week???

pinkcb 2009-11-18 8:09pm

After looking at 113 of your bead sets I would say while your style is technically just about perfect, it's your sense of COLOUR that knocks my socks off. Sublime. I'd look at a lot of the rods you've used and think 'ugh, hate that colour' and yet when you combine them with complimentary and contrasting colours it's magic. Bead porn for sure.

BeadBlossoms 2009-11-18 8:24pm

Yes, the colors!!! I would love a tut that shows really awesome ways to use colors like you do...like a recipe book for glass! I always seem to struggle with that the most.....

GlassGalore 2009-11-18 9:04pm

Well YA I'd love to see you do a tutorial! Some of my fave sets in your gallery that I'd love to see a tut based on are:

Villa (#30)
Wanderlust (#28 )
Sway (#18 )
Fossil (#3)

Is it done yet?!? :poke:

barbaracollins 2009-11-19 2:51am

bgurden 2009-11-19 4:51am
