Awesome Tut Thanks !!

Candy, I have never been able to make this style of bead no matter how much I practiced, but after seeing your tutorial I may give it another go. Your beads are gorgeous!!!!!

Thanks Candy, my problem is the nice big thick wrap of clear. I need to learn how to do just that part evenly around the first time.

Do you melt a large gather to do that?
thanks,

Yes. With practice, you'll know how large the gather will need to be to adequately encase your base bead.

Came across this on Pinterest, and thought it needed a little "bump". It is a great little tutorial. Thanks Candy.

I'm amused. Just yesterday I was looking at a print out of this tutorial I had made a couple of years ago. Angelique

Really nice with the silvered ivory, and I like the glow of the color too.

piedradesigns 2013-11-13 7:38pm

Thanks, beadmama and Kristin. Candy uses silvered ivory in some of the beads she pictures at the bottom of her tut. I especially like the one she made using Opal Yellow (?) and Topaz.

I went back to the beginning of the thread and saw those too! I'm going to have to do some, I just love that look. Thanks.

Great tutorial - think I'll go out to the torch and give this a try right now!

valjean 2014-03-01 3:26pm

Funny, same thing happened to me yesterday.
Cleaning out a desk drawer looking for something and there it was, printed out, ready to use....Val

I tried this for the first time yesterday and it felt so much easier than most tutorials. Made this bracelet--not completely finished, with the beads I made with this tutorial.

I found the Lampwork Etc. forum because of this post on Pinterest.

At this point, these photos of the tutorials have their own life.
