Invacare Oxycons?

I have an opportunity to pick up an Invacare Oxycon. . Not sure of model number yet as owner is getting that info for me. Anyone have any experience with them? Thanks!

Never had an issue with mine. If it's free go for it! It may be a 5lpm. But you can work with a 5 on a minor. Just slower than a 10. What kind of torch do you have?

My first was a rebuilt one. Worked fine w/my minor.

But whoever rebuilt it -- well let me say it sounded as loud as a semi idling outside the front door, so I just got a longer hose & put it in the next room. Ask to have it turned on if you can before you get it so you can check it out.

Spoke with a refurbisher and crew of a oxycon repair place and they all agreed Invacare had the fewest problems of any brand. Check your filter, it may be loose causing that noise.

Didn't get the Oxycon. Couldn't make myself bid against the old guy with the portable O2 unit. I think I'm going to get one from one of our LE vendor members.

I wonder if a more powerful unit would help get better color out of silver glass? I have a mega minor torch working 96 and 104. My Devilbiss has been giving me low O2 readings and I can tell my flame isn't as strong. So I haven't been using my silver glass.

Thanks for the replies.
