Oxy cons and Boro

Hello all. I am looking to upgrade from a HH torch and soft glass to a Bobcat or Lynx with 2 10lpm oxy cons for Boro. The question is will the flame be strong enough to make spoons and sherlocks?

Yes, especially if they are high pressure (20psi) and you add a holding tank.

Yes they are 20Psi. I have seen the holding tanks in videos. Do you think they are neccesary?

No. They just make a good life better.

(I'm not referring to the setups with the compressor. I'm talking about just a holding tank. A link to the tutorial is posted in the tutorials section.)

I have worked boro on a Lynx connected to 2 M-15 oxycons, easy peasy

Do you think a Bobcat would be enough power to make bowls and sherlocks? Or would the Lynx be a better choice?

The bobcat will do it the Lynx is not much better. (both are 7 jets). I had a better time making pipes of any size on a cheetah or a phantom.

I made these on a Lynx:

The Lynx & Bobcat are both capable. Even the Cricket, for that matter, although at a much slower rate.

Plenty of heat from a lynx for spoons and sherlocks. Optimum? No. Suficient? Yes. I made 2.25" solid marbles on mine for a while before upgrading to the mirage I now use.

All done on a Lynx:
