Flower murrini tutorial reviews?
 

I would love to learn how to make flower murrini. I see several tutorials such as Astrid's, Ikuyo's, and others. I'm very interested in reviews by folks who have used the different tutorials for flower murrini. It'd be great to hear your opinions on the strengths, and perhaps weakness of the different offerings. If my resources weren't so limited, I'd buy one of each! But, alas, I can't.

I would sell my first born to learn some tricks from Anastasia too! I wonder if she will write a book or tutorial (about ANY thing she does)! Such gorgeous work...

As for Anastasia, all you can do is ask if she's going to write a book or tutorial someday. :)

I love Ikuyo's tutorial. It is well written and she shares a lot of information and shows how to make a "remarkable" murrini. I am amazed at how great her murrini looks on my beads! Making this murrini is not, however, for beginners, it is as she says "for advanced beadmakers".

The few I've purchased just can't be passed up! ...like Jacqueline's "Wild About Flowers" that covers A to Z and then some. I'm looking for something this fabulous for flower murrini.

I don't mind the 'advanced' aspect of tutorials. I just need them to be clearly illustrated or described and complete with glass suggestions. I can be kind of dense when I'm learning something! :???:

Robin, I bumped up both threads so they are at or near the top of the free tutorials room. I'm going to try both of them this week. Hopefully by Tuesday.

I found the murrini Tutorial from Astrid Riedel worth every penny!

Thanks Margriet. I purchased Astrid's tutorial last night and just finished trying it. I was a little confused about the wraps but pushed ahead. It makes more sense after working through it. There are lots of good tips in the tut. I especially appreciated the section on application. I got a little too long so it was unwieldy by the time I got to the outer petals. I pulled most of it a bit too small. The thicker sections look pretty decent on my test bead. Astrid clearly states it's best for intermediate/advanced bead maker so I'm thrilled my first try turned out as good as it did.

I love Astrid's rose cane tutorial!
