Ikuyo New Tutorial! Sunflower Murrini

Hello everybody. Just in time for the summer!
I finished my newest tutorial on how to make sunflower murrini and how to apply it to your favourite bead.
It's a nice 17 page tutorial with lots of picture to make it easy to understand the technique.
Beautiful sunflowers!!!

I was just eyeing up your sunflower beads last week and trying to figure out how you make them! Off to check it out!

ETA - just ordered mine too! Good price. That's so funny...it was just earlier this week I was looking for exactly this in your ETSY shop to see if you'd done a tut for these. Thanks!

Just read thru the whole tutorial ! Fabulous ! I can't wait to give it a try ! I've admired your sunflower murrini since you began using it ! Thanks for writing up a superb tutorial ! :)

I just picked this tutorial up. I'm murrini challenged, but your instructions are very clear and I'm inspired... I think that this might be too much for my Cricket to handle. I'm waiting to hook up my new Bobcat but I'm concerned that the heat may be too focused. Has anyone tried it with a smaller torch?

Thank you so much for your nice comments.
Jenny, I'm no familiar with the Cricket and the Bobcat. I use a Nortel Mid-Range.
It's not such a big torch.
If you can melt a big bead, for example around 33 mm lentil bead, you should be OK.

Hi Ikuyo, you say you work on nortel mid range when making these murrini...do you use the top torch or the larger bottom one? I have the same torch and have bought your tut so am building up to having a go!

ikuyoglassart 2013-07-16 9:12pm

Thank you so much for buying my tutorial.
I use a Nortel mid range torch

It's a single torch.
Have fun making the murrini!
