Annealing bubbles??? Do they work
I have a kiln, but i only make two or three beads at one sitting (so batch anneal) I've been using a fibre blanket for years, but believe it is causing me to cough (i do have ventilation, i often wear a mask) - so I stopped beading awhile ago I MISS IT and want to return so was thinking of annealing bubbles?
Any feedback or suggestions about these bubbles? |
I have used them successfully, but I make pretty small beads. I use them when I take a class or go to a retreat and batch anneal when I get home. And I fire up my kiln for three beads all the time.

I used the annealing bubbles for a year or two. I liked them better than the blanket. Just make sure that the container is deep and holds heat - I used a ceramic jug.

Thanks so much! where do you get them?

here is the online shop where I got them. I think it's the only place in the States, not sure about Canada.

Have you tried a crockpot filled with vermiculite or perlite instead of the fiber blanket?
I prefer perlite over vermiculite, as it does not darken & no odor. |
