Boro or Soft Glass

I am working on an outside sign with a ceramic mosaic artist and we want to incorporate glass flowers. It's in Upstate new York where the temps in the winter get way below zero. I'm thinking Boro would be the best but have been told it wouldn't matter. Any advice ???
Thanks

It wouldn't matter. Soft glass can get as hot or cold as any normal thing would get it without trouble. It's just fast temperature changes, like sticking it directly into a fire, that tend to break it.

Yep, either but be careful of water getting into spaces and freezing/expanding that can lead to glass getting squeezed and cause it to crack. (example: water in bead hole, freezes, expands and breaks the bead.)

Ignore this is you have already thought of it!

My vote is always for boro if you are looking for something durable. It would handle bumps and bruises better if say, it gets knocked over sometime.

I don't think that's true. For example, I have to be very careful not to snap boro stringers, when similar soft glass stringers would be no problem.
