Hair-fine stringer application Tutorial

Perhaps this has been asked before, and if so, sorry...

Wondering if anyone has written a tut for this type of work.

Thanks!

Make sure the bead is hot, never put the stringer in the flame...and practice a lot

I had Corina literally holding my hand and i still struggled to get it right

Tuxedo makes a good black stringer unless it is hair fine. I like Oxblood, a TAG silver glass. It's stiff and you'd never guess that it strikes to a perfect dark black. It doesn't bleed easily either. Terrific stuff and my go to when the rest just won't do. LOL.

But once my heat control got better, I found that Tuxedo does really work well for most things (and a lot less $$)

Heat the glass, not the stringer, work to the side of the flame, not in it. The heat from the bead melts the stringer.
