Dark ivory updates?

Does anyone have any yet? Any updates on when it may be in stock? What are you using in place of it? Thanks! Renee

I have contacted both Frantz and Art Glass House but neither has dark ivory or knows when they will. Frantz told me that there was none in their most recent delivery. I hope the Italians know how much we love this color!!

I currently have about 8kg of Dark Ivory in stock but our shop is in France. Here is the link, just incase: click here

Feel free to PM me if you have any questions! :)

Looks like Howaco has it -

If anyone needs some I have access to more pounds than you'll use in a lifetime. Unless you go through 10 pounds a day

I hadn't heard anything about a shortage. Is this effetre and vetrofond? Should I stock up? I use dark ivory in almost everything I do.

Most suppliers seem to be out of it. Lance at flametree glass told me that there isnt any around even with the big guys and no expected date for it :-(

NLC Beads 2012-01-12 8:23pm

Moretti was still ok, I thought, but Vetrofond was difficult?

Joe - is yours the "curdled" dark ivory, still? That stuff rocks. :)

Oh, don't tell me I have to start hoarding Dark Ivory now too. Jeebus. I just popped over to Howaco Glass and bought a crapload. If they stop making that then I'll just fold up and die.

Ummm.. how the heck does a top manufacturer run out of a staple such as dark ivory? Its not one of these "limited" run deals- Its not like these guys "forget" the ingredients to a STAPLE color.

This is like gas stations running out of regular!

thanks

Duane

I do have plenty of Dark Ivory, for now. With the orders coming through, not sure how long it will last. :) Everyone loves their Dark Ivory.

With the companies that order directly from Effetre, the problem is, they run their orders to go along with the flow of their typical inventory. If they get low because of whatever reason, when they order, it takes 4-6 weeks to get it unless they pay for air shipping, which is insane in cost.

So I will keep everyone posted if I get low on Dark Ivory, but for right now, I am ok on inventory.

I'm pretty sure it is but I'll have to check to make sure.

Thank you Howaco for responding! BTW- their price is great 7.75 lb ( 2 lbs was 22.00 with shipping) especially if you can't find it anywhere else :-)

Mitosis Glass 2012-01-13 3:56pm

I love Howaco! I usually got my glass locally but now I'm needing to buy it online and JameyLynn is da bomb! I've ordered from her a few times and have always been thrilled. A big plus also is that she takes PayPal.

Whether it's 2 or 20 that's a great price;)

I inquired about this in customer service area the other day. I asked Mike if he could share any input. Here's what he had to say:

Dear Duane, before we ran out of Dark Ivory, we had over 3,000 pounds, But big sales took our inventory from tons to a few pounds. I do have some DarkIvory coming in February and then more coming about a month later.

I hope this info helps

Duane

Thanks for the update Duane! At least we won't be out for a long time- it still has me stumped why almost everyone was out of it! Howaco was the only place that had it listed that I found :-)
