NS Aurora can give you a lot of colors depending on if it is encased, left on the surface, reduced, etc. Here is a heart I did yesterday using it. These pictures were taken quickly so they aren't great, and you can get many more colors out of it than I have here, but it may give you an idea of what is possible. I will add that I never set out to get a specific color with aurora. I just play with it until I like the results.

Wow you did much better than me...from memory all I ever got from it was black with tiny bits of redish brown...
thanks for showing me the photos...
I have heard it is good for imploding...has anyone got any photos of it imploded?

Nice colors Eric!

Oops, I don't have any suggestions for working Aurora though, maybe the experts do. ;)

This marble is aurora and clear swirls... It was worked really hot and gave hues of green and some red. Sorry the picture isn't that good...Joe

I use aurora frit and love it. I get really cool greeny-blue when i encase it, but if i use it on the outside i get a crazy metallic red.

Thanks Kay. I have another one I did that just came out of the kiln that shows more of the colors the glass makes.. I'll try and post it tomorrow...

great. Looking forward to seeing more of your artwork perhaps in the boro S & T? Or start your own thread and don't forget the "marble" thread on this forum......
