Thanks so much for posting this tutorial - gives me more reasons to practice twisties - and now the rings!

Carmen Isaacs 2007-12-13 6:55pm

You are amazing!!!

ginkgoglass 2007-12-13 6:57pm

Those pictures did not even need any words. Wow. Perfect.

Rebekah 2007-12-13 7:07pm

Those are so cool! I'm seeing a necklace. A very pretty necklace.

Thanks for sharing your technique!

jesgen 2007-12-13 7:10pm

Truly magnificent!
I am lost though on how you built your gather. How do you get a flat color with black or dark color edges in the middle of the twisty?
I am going to try this when it warms up and I wont freeze working outside.

GinnyHampton 2007-12-13 7:19pm

AWESOME!!!! I love making twisted cane and now I have something new to try . . . . thank you for sharing your technique :)

Heather/Ericaceae 2007-12-13 7:29pm

Wow! Thanks for putting up those great pictures. I imagine it'll still take a heck of a lot of practice to get them looking as perfect as yours do! :) It sure helps to see the steps, though. You're awesome!

FiG 2007-12-13 8:42pm

Hi There:

I think that Kimberly's Twistie Tut is a great example of how to start practicing and give you the basic concept; here's the link:
