Seeking advice on pink rods

What pink rod do you think best matches the color of pink in this poppy image? I have not used any opaque pinks before but love the pink in the image.
Thanks,
Michelle

Pink is a tough color to make, so there aren't a lot of opaques out there that aren't washed out. I think the pic would be close to Reichenbach Opal Raspberry (104 coe). Effetre Dark Pink 256 is too light. There might be some Bullseye pinks that come close, but I don't work Bullseye, so I am not sure. Laushca pinks are also too light, in my experience. CiM does not have any opaque pinks that come close to that. Good luck - whoever is able to make that color is going to make a killing, I think! :)

You might want to consider mixing your own colors. Here's a color chart to get you started:

You might try effetre Sunset rose. It's a bit darker then your poppy, but close I think.

On my monitor, the color I think most closely matches the flower is Messy Desert Pink.

Delicious color pink, that CiM Dessert Pnk is. Must try!

Desert Pink is lovely, but very, very light.

Does it have to be 104?

That's what I thought too Elizabeth. :)

You will probably have to layer some transparent colors over a lighter pink to get that color. I think op raspberry will be much too dark btw

It seems like we are seeing very different colors.

shawnette 2015-01-28 5:13pm

I'm seeing the flower as a peachy pink. The Messy pink look more like a baby pink, to me.

Elizabeth Beads 2015-01-28 7:20pm

I think Messy Desert Pink is a peachy pink. Messy Gelly Sty is more of a baby pink.

Divardi has a champagne rose on this page that might layer over another color...
Keep in mind I'm thinking of color only. I know Divardi has compatibility issues on some colors and I have not used this color.

There are quite a few pinks in that image! Desert pink would do for the highlights, but wouldn't give the darker colour.

This is Desert Pink. The vines are silvered and fumed the pink slightly.

Yes, I only have 104.

The layering thought seems like a great idea. Thank you.
