So cool to see how it's done. Great tutorial, it must have been a lot of work putting it together! Thanks soooo much for sharing!!

Mitosis Glass 2011-07-17 7:45am

I got tired looking at this! I've done stuff like this too although not nearly as excellent, and it gets very heavy holding on to those huge gathers.

We miss seeing you post here! I hope you pop in again sometime.

chrisdd 2011-07-17 8:21am

Great tutorial! Thank you for taking the time to put it all together.

BTW, cutting murrini under water is probably for the sake of your lungs. Every time you cut a piece of glass it creates a fine puff of dust.

thanks,

I'm delighted to see this pop up again! I've taken a class with Ryan and he's amazing. He makes it look so doable!

Unfortunately this forum is so quiet these days lots of tutes have either disappeared like this one, or in some cases removed so the author can add a few more piccys and make a `paid for' tutorial! I miss the days of free tutes and shared info:sad:

In this case I think The reason the tutorial pictures are not here is due to photo bucket forcing payment to use their site for picture hosting not that the the author is trying to force artist to pay for the tutorial. You see the water mark by photo bucket on their pictures that were posted along time ago when the service was free.

Agreed! It was a fab tute given freely. I presumed that the authors photobucket account had, for some reason, 'expired' the photos. I cant remember if it was PB or Flickr that had (still has maybe?) a rolling limit. So, say there was a limit of 50 pics - when you uploaded pic 51, 52 and 53, pics 1-3 were no longer available. I thought that was the probably reason the pics had gone in this case, rather than them being taken down by the author. I have been off the glass 'scene' due to illness and I wasn't aware that PB were charging for their service. I don't use PB so I am unaware of the situation re charges. It doesn't surprise me that a once free service now has a cost attached.

I apologise if it came across as bitchy and as though I was saying the OP had removed the pics I order to use them in a "paid for" tute. That was not my intention at all.

I do have a bit of a bee in my bonnet about tutorials for sale, and tend to use every opportunity to say my piece. This was NOT the right opportunity to do so and I apologise wholeheartedly if I have caused offence.

Hey beadysam ;-)

I’m not offended, but I just wanted new members to know what did happen to the pictures. It was a great tutorial and too bad photo bucket ruined it and not the author.

I myself like to buy tutorials as I have not been able to attend any formal classes than my beginner class ... some day I would like to do a more advance one.

Also Soda lime times by Diane Woodall is a real bang for the buck I love that e-subscription.

And of course, LE lots of free good information.
