Glass Veining Technique
Here's a new tutorial I've been working on. (Thanks, Frit Diva, for the reminder to put it here!)
This tutorial shows you how to get a veining effect from just one glass color. And you'll get all the information from my glass testing - what colors work great, what colors just wouldn't cooperate, and what colors work but take a little extra coaxing. The tutorial is $25 and available in my Etsy shop: https://www.etsy.com/listing/1869118...op_home_feat_4 And check out my blog post for a coupon code of 20% off ($5 value), good through May 5, 2014. |
Does it need to be encased to get the effect?
|
Good question, Caroline. I found that the veining works best with encasing. I tried several colors without clear encasing and wasn't happy with the results.

Nice, Alli!! What clear are you using? It's beautiful!
|
Zephyr; I rarely use any other clear. :)

Ah. A girl after my own heart. About the only time I pick up another clear is for a punty.
(Psst. I really want to lighten your picture a little so the veining shows more - I was amazed with the results from Bloody Mary!) |
Is this tutorial available anymore?
