boro powder frit

a while back I was given some clear boro rods and some frit powders. I though this would give me more color variety while i was playing w/boro. I cannot seem to get any color from the powders at all. I have amber purple, green exotic, blue moon and aurora. I am working on a minor.

Any help or links to threads would be great.

Thanks,
Jen

You can get more color out of the powders by rolling and melting several times--use an oxidizing flame to keep the color from reducing, especially when heating the powders.

Yep, you need to work high oxy with all of those colors, and you probably need 4-5 layers to get anything interesting.
