Mike & Pat are going to Murano
I have not been to Effetre since 2010. Cancer kept me grounded, but it has been a year since my stem cell transplant, and I believe that the doctors will give me the "OK" to travel. One drawback from the transplant is that all of my inoculations I have received my life have vanished and I need to get all my shots and get a haircut, a photo and a new passport..
I traded in credit card miles and the two of us will be headed to Italy on the 20th of May. One week on Murano is all we need to scout out for new color and fresh pizza. I wish I could take you all along for this trip, but we only have enough credit card miles for the two of us, but we will keep you informed as to any great new colors, or great old colors we come across. If you need something special, just shoot me an email. Thank You Mike & Pat Frantz |
I'm happy for your return to good health! Have a great trip. We want pics.

Good luck and safe travel. Murano is one of my favorite places on earth, it is really special.

Can you set up a European store so some of us can buy from you without all the international shipping and charges? :D

Ok, I could work around the 20 year thing, but am a bit short on the cash needed. But the biggest problem is setting up a business in a different country and dealing with the new laws. Over 15 years ago on one of my trips to Murano I spoke with a shop owner who told me that at any time the "Taxman" can come to your shop and look at your records. I also found out that if you write in your checkbook with a pencil (instead of ink) or if you were to use whiteout, you could be fined $1,000, and that was a long time ago, I wonder what the fine would be today.. It is hard enough to run a business and stay out of the RED these days. Thanks for the suggestion, I wish I could help, but one location is enough for me. Sincerely Mike Frantz |
Truly happy for you, have a wonderful trip!
|
Have a great trip! Be on the lookout for knock-out opaque magentas, violets, and eye-searing antifreeze green. If the color looks like it would bitchslap a toddler, it's just right.

Hi Mike,
Have a great time ! And... Please tell that Luigi Catalan man that you hooked us up on your last Murano trip to buy the 104 Chalcedony from that I am looking for him. After some people were complaining on this board about it I had it chemically analyzed a few months ago and it came up as mostly tin. It is a little too late to reverse the purchase on my credit card but I am going back over there too and I *will* find him. (Actually, I remember right where he lives!) Paula |
I can't wait to live vicariously thru the pictures (you WILL be taking pics right?!).

Missed you in Vegas, but so happy you're in Murano. Give everyone a hug for me!
