New Freebie! Borealis Dichroic Ribbon Cane Tutorial

Hi guys.

Worked up a quick freebie pictorial this morning. It is for a dichroic twisted ribbon cane that has lots of drama and sparkle. It is a way to get the effect of black-backed dichroic without the fussiness for people who tend to scorch it a bit.

Here is a picture of the finished cane, just click it to visit my site and follow the links to the tutorial. If you've been to my site recently, you might need to hit refresh to see the update. Scroll down to the bottom of the tutorials page to find it.

I got some soft pink dicro as a gift - will try that on perhaps a white base, I think. Very neat!

Actually, no you don't. ;) That is kinda the whole thing to it, you use a paddle of black, apply the clear dichro, then you get the high contrast bling of black dichro without the fussiness that some of us battle.

Hope you have fun with it!

Thanks everybody, hope you are getting some use out of it.

Mary! I enjoy your tuts, whether I know how to do it or not....there's something fun about learning something new OR reaffirming that I was doing it right all along....

Very good of you to do this!
