what to get for starting out with boro.

I wanted to dip my hand in it to see if I liked working with boro..I have the tip I need for my national 8m and oxygen concentrater. Im looking to do beads. Im not interested in marbles or sculptural work. What would be some good colors to start with?

Clear, NS Amber Purple and white. You can do a lot with just that to find out if you like it. AP is a good color to learn about haze, flame striking, kiln striking, temps and times.

get some clear frit too. You can buy by the rod at Salt City if you want to sample a few other colors.

How many hours is to much for a 10L oxygen concentrator I was looking at purchasing for boro?

There is no rule of thumb. You can get a well used one that goes and goes or a relatively new one that has problems. Buy it from someone reputable and call them if you have a problem. You might have a warrantee.

Go for the 15 or 20! Don't even bother with the 10! I use 2 20's and sometimes I even hook in my 15 too. I have the 3 chained together. The more O2 for boro the better!
