Just what you said "Lost Wax" burn out. Kiln or Torch. Ventilate.

I realize that, I am trying fitting a boro sculpture on my wax investment which in turn makes hot wax run off on to my sculpture.

What kind of wax? If it's jeweler's carving wax, there is a solvent/polish for that specifically (expensive), but I would expect ordinary Goo Gone solvent to work well. Grocery store cleaning aisle ~ Good luck!

Use a release agent Vaseline. then the wax wont stick. I boil off stubborn dap wax sometimes.

Couldn't you just drop it in boiling water?

What kind of wax?
paraffin and bees wax can be heated and then simply wipe it off with a piece of news print or scrap cloth.

Try freezing and chipping if it's only on certain places you want it gone, then goof off/goo gone, in a pinch I think gasoline will work, or something of that nature. Just watch the fire haZard!!!
