|
Pretty, pretty, like all those colors! What white are you using Susan?
|
Yummy. How did you know I've been on a "find the perfect pink" kick?
You could have spent that time making jellies  |
how does one get some of those experimental colors from NS?
i'm seeing lots of people post them, but i don't see them in the vendors websites. |

I love pinks too - I finally decided to color test and keep the beads in the studio so I would have a reference on what color looks like what. Still have several pinks to go, but working on it! I'll share whatever I get done but I hope you aren't in a hurry. lol! |
Love all of them, especially the funky citrus! Thanks so much for posting all of the beads. Do you mind sharing what annealing schedule you are using to get these great pinks? I've done searches on them, and have found 6 diferrent ones, so confused :)
Rated your thread 5 stars :) |

I got amber purple, Mai Tai and Loki done today but Mai Tai needed another run thru the kiln so I'll try to post pics tomorrow or Saturday.
|
WOW! Just gorgeous Susan!
|
Thank you Angela! I got the beads cleaned today, hope to photograph them tomorrow. Love playing with pink glass, always exciting to open the kiln. Yum!

Amber Purple & Loki
alrighty, finally got them photographed. I am not posting the Mai Tai, as the colors just didn't come out right. I know this is an awesome color, I'm certain it is operator error. Need another go round with this one - I've seen the pics of what Mai Tai can do, but I'm a Mai Tai rookie. I'll post when I get more beads made. Really sorry about the fuzzy beads. Didn't catch that in time to redo pics.

Loki
I really liked the Loki with the white base and clear frit not encased so I made a set of those. Hard to see this bead in the group shot, so I'm showing it separately too as the set. AP done this way is very close to the same look.
|
Susan, this is just wonderful! Thank you so much for doing these!!!

Thanks Susan, You are sooo generous! This is something I've been wanting to know.
|
you're welcome, my pleasure.
Here's a set I did last week with Tequila sunrise (white base), silver creek frit and partially encased with clear stringer. |
Have you ever heard of a GA color called Atomic Kumquat? It looks pinkish and was wondering if it was difficult to work with -

Do you have a link for the color testing thread by any chance?
It's says Atomic Kumquat is an "old school" color that has been new and improved for less air, more UV reaction and better working properties. |

http://www.mountainglass.com/Alchemy...at-GA0263.html From the results i get i can tell you the bright area at the top and on some of the bump that i thought looks purplely pink is the reflection of the purplish florescent black light bulb. which show how close the black light needs to be to get a good pink glow. but i do think it we have some cool applications. But just remember it is clear with out the black light. |
