EDP
Autocorrect error in last post (EDP came out DVT 😕). Is Effetre pastel purple known as evil denitrifying purple forever discontinued. I am new to lamp working and read about it recently, but can not find it anywhere. Are there any other colors which have similar special effects?

It is gone. It was made with arsenic, and the formula has been outlawed by the Italian government.

And no, there is not another color that is quite like it! Reichenbach Purple Rose gets some effects, but it is a completely different tone, and does not react as strongly.

Thanks for the reply. Too bad because I was looking forward to using it but I guess it’s good that I’m not exposing myself to arsenic

All glasses use heavy metals (many of which are toxic or carcinogenic) to provide the color. The only potential exposure is when the glass is molten or boiling and ventilation will solve that problem. When glass is cold, the metals are chemically bound to the glass molecules and cannot migrate out of the glass.

They didn't want it in the water, air, etc. at the factories either.
