Yes, there's definitely a difference. I prefer the softer look of leaf for using it for glass effects (like rubino stringer over silver leaf over cobalt base, or even for silvered ivory stringer).

I haven't had any trouble encasing Effetre Cobalt (use a lot of it with the blue-based silver glasses). A long time ago I read not to encase corals, oranges, and yellows, but I've seen people do it....
