you are correct about RTD being the resistant thermal detector but the controller that I have doesn't even have one although the manual say's that most likely thats what the problem is! funny

Correct you will need 6 1/4 " inch hose clamps 1/4" hose, some of the hose that you have from your oxy line will do. If you do not want to cut you good hose up then you will have to purchase some....
