try shaping your iris out of black(i use onyx)...

try shaping your iris out of black(i use onyx) ie; round, diamond, etc, then roll it in amber purple frit(large size) and pull. Eye millis in about 5 min with very little waste.

thats the thing......Most flames have all 3 zones within them....ie reducing neutral etc..
Its a matter of figuring out where within any given flame is the enviroment you want.

I always screw my ducting together. I use 1/4" self tapping screws, and go from one piece into the other locking them into place, then tape. Like mike said the tin tape is ideal for venting.

My local weld supply guy does repairs and charges me 15$ to fix it. Usually takes about 4-5 days for him to get to it.

Sometimes this is caused by not loosening...
