I use 7mm quartz rod if I'm using gold or silver...

I use 7mm quartz rod if I'm using gold or silver leaf or foil. If I want to use wire or snipped off bits I find it easier to get them to stick to a rod of clear borosilicate (I use 10mm)

Ummmm. Good question. Jellies are surprises for me. I use up all the bits and pieces on my bench. I think I would have used dragons blood and no idea for the blue. The pink is gold fume 😎🔥😎

Agreed with the ventilation. My setup has a variable control so that I can just about suck myself up and away if I turn it up really high and am not secured to the floor. :)
