If the base glass is a reduction glass, it can give the effect of liquid. The way that clear glass is shaped will also give a watery appearance, especially on reduction glass.

It's not against the rules, but the board is predominantly bead makers, and soft glass bead makers at that. I think the talkglass site is more geared to boro, pipes and such.

Try blanket cooling a bead or two? Maybe the kiln isn't ruining them, maybe the effect just doesn't look as nice once the bead is cooled?

I don't have this glass yet, or I'd try it myself.

The silver will stay silver, and the black will stay black, so long as you don't reduce it... I think. Pretty sure that should work.

I'd start by making sure my final punty...

I'd start by making sure my final punty attachment is cold sealed so it will break away easily. Then after I have it in my grabber, and have the punty snapped off, there should be very little to fire...

Just because it looks like silver or gold, doesn't mean it is silver or gold. I think a lot of the cheaper stuff is copper based.

Clio, (sometimes I'll add silver foil and burn it off) light reduction, encase in super clear. Very gently melt in.

It looks a little bit like mine. I thought it was Clio when I first got it, but it turns out it was Notos. It's one of my favorites.

Clio will turn pink, Notos goes to an eerie light pearly blue....
