Bottle glass ordinarily has a COE between 85 to 87. Although the COE can be as little as 83 or as great as 90. Probably not a good idea to mix colors or manufactures, as you can see here they vary...

Anything above 5 on the moh scale will scratch glass including glass itself.

I always let it cool completely down before I open or vent the kiln at all.
Because I do have a polariscope. It is better to be safe than sorry and not get in a rush for any reason.

Cooling Rate

The best would be to shoot for 500. You may slightly vent the kiln sooner but be cautious. Remember the inner parts are always hotter than the outer area.

I want to mention a little quirk the 3A has along with many other torches. Occasionally it may backfire so you probably want to use a fuel gas flashback arrestor inline with it for safety reasons....

Yes any that will work with your compressor. Some compressors already have one built in. About 10 psi should work well. And a normal bbq regulator for the propane. That yealds about 5 psi on the gas....
