Handmade headpins

I would love to make my own headpins with glass on one end. What metal will take the heat of the torch and kiln, and yet bend easily enough to use for jewelry. Any great ideas???

Yes, I do have only one concentraror. It just seems like it takes forever to melt the glass. That's a great help to me. I agree that hotter is not always better.

If it is just a small bead without alot of decoration, I would just reheat it until it glows and make sure the crack is gone and go from there. I have saved alot of beads this way.
