Use a second jar with just water in it.
Dip mandrel to centre
Dip in water to remove the excess on the end
Release can be reclaimed for re-use when left to settle and excess water carefully...

The beeper on my kiln started whining constantly, so I sent the controller in and they simply removed the beep.
So it can be done on an orton controller, but don't ask me how.
