I'm having a serious case of the "wants" for some of the things on the jplampwork site. Great prices, too! Check out the $375 murrini maker on the Satake site (
http://www.satakeglassusa.com/millefiori.html). It does exactly the same thing as a seven-groove mold. I think this one would help create a more consistent murrini from one end to the other, but I couldn't convince myself that it's $300 better!
Edited to say: I wonder if the softness of Satake makes it not work in a regular murrini mold? Just trying to figure it out...
