Wait your using just plain clear safety glasses for torch work?


I suspect the big concern from your Dr is going to be exposure to high levels of light with sensitive eyes and focusing on a fixed point where you may not be blinking as much as usual.

A good ophthalmologist will be able to give you an estimate on recovery in post surgery follow up, What the concern is using the torch, and how to minimize those factors.
If the Dr doesn't have experience with lampwork/hot glass He will do research and get back to you before your next follow up.
