I have to say, at least the devardi instantly becomes frit when it's going to do it. There's a couple of other colors that wait until you think it's going to melt just fine....then explode in your face. Handpulled, pricey colors, too!

I just had a major frit bomb with a rod of Vetro Cosmic Storm! None of the Devardi I've used has been quite that violent. The rod looked fine, felt smooth, melted fine for the first 2 inches or so, then BAM!
