I received my new masher yesterday. I haven't used it yet but I can report it is top quality, light weight (for the size), and a far cry from my pliers masher. It's truly parallel with an accurate 'stop' for size. If there's a difference from the 'other' one I don't know what it would be other than Dave's comment about it being lighter. I wouldn't want one heavier than this one. I have really small hands. I won't have problems with it but I must say it's bigger than I expected. I didn't purchase any additional inserts but now I see how nice it is, I plan to purchase the barrel insert for it.
