I tried to make my own frit this weekend. Love the saying, "Friends Don't Let Friends Make Frit." I totally get it. The paddle plunge had a weird result. OF course the paddle didn't do a thing plunged into ice water but i happened to get it near the torch after the plunge and whammo, it shattered. big hunkin hunks but i thought it was interesting. took a hammer to the hunks, some powder and some smaller hunks. i am so buying frit, boro frit, 104 glass is a piece of cake. made some fun beads and, since i love to see people's photos, as a thank you i will take some photos and tell all when i post. This is one happening group!!
I have a few frit types and will IM you and hopefully return the favor. Sara
