The International Society of Glass Beadmakers (ISGB) and Glass Craft & Bead Expo are coming together in Las Vegas, Nevada to create an amazing opportunity in 2017.
While these two events still operate independently of one another, the partnership will offer an unprecedented experience for glass artists, enthusiasts, and complimentary mediums for a must-attend event.
ISGB will hold its annual conference, The Gathering, March 29 - April 2, with preconference workshops beginning on Tuesday, March 28. Events, presentations, and workshops will bring strong creative content that will not only educate, but inspire attendees for our 25th conference.
We are seeking instructors and presenters who will encourage and motivate flameworkers by sharing ideas and knowledge, and help support our mission to preserve the rich and diverse traditions of the art of glassworking techniques. Workshop and presentation proposals are not limited to glass, but may be complementary mediums, as well as topics of professional development and business education among artists and craftspeople.
Two day, one day, and half-day workshops, as well as three hour professional development mini sessions, will be considered. Presentations are 50 minutes long and must be brand new content. The deadline for all proposals is September 8.
Glass Craft & Bead Expo workshops will begin March 29 - April 2 with their annual tradeshow March 31 - April 2. ISGB will add to the tradeshow on Saturday, April 1 by bringing our one day Glass, Beads & Jewelry Bazaar to the show floor.
The ISGB Gathering, Glass Craft & Bead Expo, and all events will take place at the exciting South Point Hotel & Casino.
